Shots were fired at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 9 in the area of 789/791 William St., where the victim was struck by gunfire, Bridgeport Police said. The victim fled on foot to Putnam Street where he was found by responding officers, according to police.
The man sustained a wound to his neck and was transported to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment. The victim lost a substantial amount of blood, but has so far survived. Detectives remain in contact with hospital staff regarding the victim's condition.
